| Survey Controller for Survey: 1 day class - No classes scheduled at this time- Call for custom classes. This is a general course that includes lecture, field session, and hands on collector work. The focus will be on Survey Controller 12.45 running on TCU, or the TSC2. Users with older versions of Survey Controller and TSC1 data collectors with Survey Controller will also benefit from this course. Topics will include setting up a survey style and setting up the job properties, coordinate system, and units like azimuths vs. bearings, the use of linked or master control files and background files for the map screen, building and using feature code libraries, and the importance of cogo settings. Learn more about the file functions like: Points Manager, QC Graph, and Custom XML imports and exports. Use the interactive map with backgrounds to its full potential. Use survey functions like: Continuous topo, staking points, lines or roads, duplicate points, the many cogo options and in field point averaging. Key in points by coordinates or by station and offset. Key in a never ending line for easy easement or right-of-way stakeout. Discuss site calibrations and grid vs. ground vs. local vs. WGS84 will be discussed. Making Bluetooth work, sharing data between collectors in the field. Intergraded surveying - one data collector for conventional and GPS. Conventional: Station setups in 2D and 3D, single station backsight, multiple backsights or using resection (free station) for safer observations, use the different measurement methods to measure remote or circular objects, measure rounds or sets, find gaps in point numbering, check any point or your backsight with one easy button, and use of station elevation to establish an occupied station elevation from a nearby benchmark as you pass it perform surface scanning. Rotate, translate, and scale data to match field conditions. |  |
